  • Modern, comfortable rooms — Guests describe the rooms as recently renovated, clean, and quiet, with comfortable beds and spacious bathrooms. Amenities include air conditioning, mini-bar, tea/coffee facilities, and flat-screen TVs.

Worth weighing

4 to weigh
  • No pets allowed — The hotel does not permit pets, so travellers with animals will need to look elsewhere.
  • Facilities score relatively low — The facilities rating is 7.1, lower than other categories. While rooms are praised, some shared spaces (like the breakfast room) may feel less refined.
  • Street noise possible — Though many guests find the rooms quiet, one review mentioned revellers singing at dawn, and another had to change rooms due to noise. Light sleepers may want to request a quieter room.
  • Breakfast not always included — Some guests chose not to book breakfast, suggesting it may be an extra cost. Reviews describe it as 'simple' or 'very good', but it's not universally praised as exceptional.

“I'd stayed here before during renovations, and this time I enjoyed the finished facilities – they're beautiful and modern. On a pedestrian street, just metres from Puerta del Sol, the Royal Palace, Gran Via and Plaza Mayor, it's ideal for sightseeing. Easy access to metro and commuter trains, and Atocha station is just a few minutes away. Staff are excellent, confirming my previous impression. Rooms and bathrooms are comfortable and spacious, and very quiet – great for rest. The minibar and Wi-Fi were good, and breakfast in the modern ground-floor dining room was very good. My second stay here and it has won me over again – my go-to in Madrid.”
